OPEN BAFFLE / HORN HYBRID
The waveguide enables extended efficiency and good coupling with the room, merging the best properties of Horn and Open Baffle design. The design allows any bass driver and fullrange speaker of choice. The bottom part of the waveguide has a flat mouth that optimally couples the 15" bass driver to the room / floor while the 8" fullrange driver in the upper part of the waveguide covers the frequency range beyond 200 Hz.
The design can be used as a stand alone home system or as a PA with assisted subwoofers. Double horn was designed with numerous segments, which allows plywood construction. Rounded 3D model was developed for construction with alternative materials like glass / carbon fiber.
